Privacy policy
This page is maintained by KEY'D to explain what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Last updated July 2026
01Information we collect
Account & contact — name, email address, phone number, and the password you set.
Reservation — dates, delivery address, vehicle preference, messages exchanged with our team, and trip inspection photos and signatures.
Verification — driver’s licence and insurance documents you upload for eligibility checks.
Payment — handled by Stripe. We store the reference, amount, and status of each charge; we never receive or store your full card number.
02How we use it
To verify eligibility, quote and confirm reservations, deliver and recover vehicles, process payments, send booking notifications by email and SMS, resolve damage or citation matters, and meet legal and insurance obligations.
03Who can see it
KEY’D staff, and — for the reservation they are fulfilling only — the owner of the vehicle you booked. Driver documents are held in private storage and are not publicly accessible. We do not sell your personal information.
04Service providers
We share the minimum necessary data with Stripe (payments and owner payouts), Twilio (SMS), our email delivery provider, and our hosting and database provider. Each processes data on our instructions.
05Communications
Transactional messages — quotes, confirmations, receipts, agreements, and trip reminders — are part of the service and are sent to the email and phone number on your reservation. You can reply STOP to any SMS to stop text messages; email remains the fallback for reservation-critical notices.
06Retention
Reservation, payment, and inspection records are retained for as long as needed to operate the business and satisfy tax, insurance, and legal requirements. Driver documents are retained only while needed for verification and dispute resolution.
07Your choices
You can view and update your details from your account, and you can ask us to correct or delete your data. Some records must be retained where we have a legal or contractual obligation. Email us to make a request and we will confirm what we can action.
08Security
Access to customer data is authenticated and restricted by role. Driver documents are stored in a private bucket that is not served publicly. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you as required by Florida law.
09Children
KEY’D is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request about your data, can be sent through our contact page.
